I'm looking for fiction books with a transgender main character (preferably ftm). The genre doesn't matter a whole lot to me, I just want something to read that I can relate to.
The only requirement is that:
It can't have a cover that's obviously LGBT+ related. My family either has neutral or negative views regarding trans people specifically, and I'd like to play it safe. They never look through my books, so I only really have to worry about the cover.
I'm super new to this subreddit, so I apologise if this post is abnormal/too specific! 🙂

Peter Darling by Austin Chant
A reimagining of Peter Pan where he is trans. It’s a very sweet story and the cover gives nothing away
The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas has two FTM characters, including the main character. There is a sequel, but it does have a more obviously gay cover.
Cemetery Boys also by Aiden Thomas. Main character is FTM.
**Rules for Ghosting** by Shelly Jay Shore. Cover just looks like a spooky maybe-romance. The main character is a trans man who can see ghosts. I loved it.
So not Trans Wizard Harriet Porber And The Bad Boy Parasaurolophus: An Adult Romance Novel?
There’s a book called Detransition, Baby, that I think made it to the NYT 100 best 21st cent. books. I haven’t read it so I can’t comment but wanted to share.
