My daughter’s looking for books that are scarier or have crime elements (no worry guys she’s not going down a bad path lol). She had to do her 30 minutes of reading and I let her borrow my Holly by Stephen King to start and she said she was really liking it so far.
Does anyone have any recommendations for any scary/paranormal/crime books that would be alright for a preteen to read? Reading level isn’t too important as she isn’t afraid of challenging words or length. Doesn’t have to be adult level or anything specific, just no graphic novels as I’m continuing to push her actual reading. I would like to avoid sexual themes though if at all possible. Thanks y’all!
