Hi everyone,
I just finished the Wolves of Winter by Dan Jones, and I think book three doesn’t come out till May this year. This is the first historial fiction I can say I have read and I absolutely loved it, it’s felt grounded and the characters were fleshed out and incredibly likable. I was wondering if there any book suggestions that are in the same vein. Couple of things I am looking for:
– I really liked the “band of brothers” dynamic, I was drawn to the camaraderie of the main cast of characters.
– In terms of time period, definitely Middle Ages but I am open to that. I think anything before the modern age.
– Readability, I picked up Essex Dogs because I wanted an immersive simple enough read to take a break from more academic reading. Sorry for using a cliché but I want a “page turner”.
Anyway, I really appreciate any suggestions you guys have, this is a great community!
