I've been reading a lot of heavy/serious books recently and I feel like I need to switch things up and read something more uplifting and/or funny. Books in the past that cheered me up were Legends and Lattes, Cary Elwes' book about the making of The Princess Bride and Maria Bamford's memoir. Also curious just to hear what your favorite feel-good books are!

The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency – by Alexander McCall Smith
Mort – by Terry Pratchett (or Wyrd Sisters, any of the witches series by same)
Remarkably Bright Creatures – by Shelby van Pelt
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne is definitely one that always cheers me up. My old stand-by used to be any of David Sedaris’ books, but especially Dress Your Family In Corduroy and Denim. Also Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis (part of the Narnia series )
Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles –A magic Inn, space werewolves and vampires, a lot of really unique aliens, mystery, romance, action, a fun and humorous series
The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets by Eva Rice, never fails
That or Pride and Prejudice <3
