The last few books I read turned out to be quite depressing. Looking for something not necessarily happy as much as something that makes you want to live your life to the fullest with all its ups and downs.
    Thank you in advance!

    1. A Man Called Ove by Fredrich Bachman – fair warning for depression and suicidal ideation at the beginning but ultimately it’s a book that always makes me feel better about humanity and being alive.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, an epistolary novel set just after the end of WWII about community, communal recovery from trauma, and the love of really excellent books.
