    Hey friends!

    I’m thinking ahead of the season (yes, I have a reading calendar because I’m the biggest loser on the planet 💅) – and wondering if anyone has recommendations on cozy reads for fall and the holidays.

    What I’m looking for:
    *Warm, comforting feeling. A heartfelt story, if you will.
    *The romance doesn’t have to be front and center of the story, but if it is a romance, the slowest the burn, the better. I can’t stand instant love.
    *Some sort of plot!! I love a “cozy read”, but find them so often very poorly executed, with empty storylines and nothing in terms of plot / character development. I need stories that are actually well written and compelling.
    *I’ve added some examples of books I love that fit the criteria. Coincidentally, they all have an element of magic to them, but being fantasy is not a prerequisite. These just happen to be the first books that popped into my mind.

    For context (fall reads): I’m a big fan of T.J. Klune / loved the {Emily Wilde series by Heather Fawcett} / also adored {the very secret society of irregular witches by Sangu Mandanna}

    For context (Christmas read): not exactly christmassy, but still perfect for the season – i read {the winternight trilogy by Katherine Arden} years ago and have been searching for something with a similar feel ever since.

    Appreciate any help :))

    Thank you xx
