Please suggest me a book or series of books for my daughter who is reading at about a 2nd grade level and enjoys surprises and adventure but not extreme peril. She especially likes graphic novels but also some beginner chapter books. She likes science, art, cats, animals, mermaids, unicorns, female protagonists and just generally silly and cute stories.

She’s tried a Dogman book and thought it was OK but didn’t appreciate some of the stronger language and teasing between characters. We’ve also tried Magic Treehouse but it didn’t connect (yet?) and not as many pictures.
I’m really open to anything around this reading level with positive messages or fun reading. Thanks!
