TW: Eating Disorder
My 18 year old nephew is quite ill with anorexia and I would like to give him a book that is hopeful and empowering
Perhaps more importantly, I would like to make sure that he cannot mine it for « tips and tricks » to make his eating disorder worse. Moreover, it would be fantastic if it was from a male perspective
It’s also great if it’s not ED specific but could be applied to his situation (in fact, this may be better)
For example, I am 22 years in recovery and grew up as an elite figure skater. For me, the book *Little Girls in Tiny Boxes* was the most important thing I read in my recovery process
He grew up as a competitive swimmer and is in his first year uni studying economics, if that helps
Thank you in advance

Hey there !! I struggled with anorexia in high school and the book {{Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto}} absolutely changed my life and made me understand how and why I needed to change for the first time. I actually have a tattoo of the design on the original book cover because of it!
