Looking for books like the recently released A Shining by Jon Fosse. Potential spoiler: Something unsettling, ambiguous, and mystical where a spirit/ghost/deity is a significant character. Emphasis on unsettling.
Also something that would be considered literary fiction, i.e., heavy on character. Not interested in overtly religious or anything horror.
