    1. I love this book, but it is firmly in the “hard science fiction” category. Expect long, technical descriptions of scientific processes, as well as real and imagined technology. My gf hated it for this reason. Its dry parts are not as dry as, say those of the Mars trilogy, but it comes close. Very worth the journey, if you’re into that kinda thing, though.

    2. Yes, I think most of what Neal Stephenson writes is good. I liked Seveneves, but it’s not the easiest to read of all his books. As the other commenter says, there are long technical descriptions. I think Stephenson does a great job of delivering exposition in a way that’s still entertaining, though!

Seveneves is divided into three sections with a time skip between each. It’s common for readers to like the first two but dislike the third because it’s so different since so much changes in the time the reader isn’t shown.
