We all know that a book turned into a movie won't be a direct replica of the book. They have to make changes and cut bits for run time. My husband and I both read The Martian recently so we decided to watch the movie. We almost didn't finish it out of frustration. Most of the female character dialog was cut out altogether and many conversations we really enjoyed in the book were either skipped over or changed too much to be enjoyable. And the ending was entirely rewritten. The end result was the same but we were so annoyed at that point we didn't even care.
What's a movie you hate/annoyed you because it deviates so far from the book?
