Hello, I both work on my hobbies at home and have a internship where i don't always do a ton of job to do, and recently i stumbled across a core problem that has been bothering me for years ever since i finished high school years ago. I think it might be a too complicated question to ask, but as a person who recently has been picking up too many things to start with such as programming and struggling to decide what to do with my drawing hobby i'm struggling to bring forth my favourite hobbies when i see other people capable of solving problems regularly.

I feel like i'm really missing something as if i never get motivated enough to get into a new thing that appears to be complicated to get through.

    • My drawing skills are something i'm currently developing through, but so far as i can only make it through a structured course which is entirely guided and keeps me safe from having no idea what to do. If i wanted to study something out of the blue outside the structure such as practising anatomy, i tend to get stuck without a plan as my head feels blank and even when i try to think of books i possess, ideas seem to not spark as of yet.
    • Programming is a different thing, but the same tendency of problem solving / thinking seems to also affect the way how i try to get into a project. I keep hearing people say that to program a videogame it takes enough amount of time of dedication, but the problem i have is trying to come up with a clear plan which involves not just the programming syntax but also planning to designing a structure for the videogame, even when using programs such as Godot Engine and Unity which offer frontend tools to ease development.

Out of these two cases i recognized that i might have an issue of figuring out things alone, which i think is problem solving and critical thinking, so i thought i would try to see if there's a book about improving on that field in general so that i could be able to think better what i can do with my hobbies and NOT just.
