I have heard about Martin Luther King Jr, but this is his first work i have read.

so much so that i am making my first post on this sub.

reading his work makes me understand why he became a legend.

he sounds so honest, determined, and true to his beliefs.

He inspired me in this book, he stirred rebellious emotions inside me.

Some wonderful quotes he goes on to mention:

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice anywhere.

justice too long delayed is justice denied.

an unjust law is no law at all.

Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.

Human progress never rolls in on wheels of inevitability; it comes through the tireless efforts of men willing to be co-workers with God, and without this hard work, time itself becomes an ally of the forces of social stagnation.

He talks about three dimension of a complete life:

    1. Length: love yourself, love what you do; if you are a sweeper sweep floor like michelangelo would have painted

    2. breadth: love your neighbour; he says: " we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others"

    3. height: love god; although i do not agree with few things he mentioned "we need God." i believe we are manifestations of god but that is a different philosophical conversation.

this book contains such gold bricks of quotes, and messages which have the power to transform one's life:

Darker yet may be the night,

harder yet may be the fight,

just stand up for that which is right.

Can you guys suggest me some good work of his which i can read going ahead?
