House in the cerulean sea was ten times better in my opinion. I was kind of let down after moving to under the whispering door because of how much I enjoyed the former.

I liked The House in the Cerulean Sea better to be honest. Better array of characters and it’s a pleasant read with the found family feel.
I actively disliked Under the Whispering Door. There’s too much death, suicide and an unlikeable main character. I know some people like the found family feel of it and the main character has nice epiphanies about not being a psychopath. But it did not work for me.
