Hi, I'm a 25yo man and I'm now struggling a little bit with my sexuality. I would like to have a better, more interesting, more light, sexual life but there's some deep patterns in my mind (that probably come from some trauma I'm not 100% aware of, but this is part speculatuion) that prevent me to do so. I've found myself sabotaging some (wanted) possible sex encounters with overthinking and consequent non-acting. I get shy, which I guess is normal, but that shyness comes from a place in my mind where sex is considered taboo, thus I find somehow as I'm "offending" the other part if I show interest in having sex with them, even if they're the first to act interested.

I feel like I never really took care of my inner sexuality, that I'm not aware of it fully and that even if I had encounters and relationships the land of sexuality is not fully explored or comprehended/accepted within myself. That it's been tainted by the way I grew up, by the constant over sexualization of things around us accompanied by the stigma of it being prohibited, taboo, a wrong pleasure.

I would like to read a book that will make me disassemble that taboo, that will make me accept that sex is normal and is not something we should be shy of, that it's ok to take it lightly if everyone involved is ok with it.

In short I would like a book that will help me to have a better, healthier, relationship with sex.

Do you have a suggestion for me?
    Thanks 🙂
