i am currently reading sugar by edward narrain and tarryn phillips and i haven't been able to put it down. i've always been drawn to writings about family, history and diaspora without actually being a historical novel and now i realize that i might be really really into ethnographic novels.
i like the story aspect and also the well-researched aspect of it since it's
based on factual research. do you have recommendations of ethnographic novels? i know i can google this easily but if you also tell me why you love a book i'd be really appreciative!
