There are all kinds of wars going on right. Particularly between Russia and Ukraine and in the Middle East.
Some people don't read the news or have become indifferent to it. But for people on the ground, the soldiers, the people living in war zones, it's very much real and life changing in many ways. I was talking to a couple of people online who were living in war zones in Lebanon and in Ukraine, and I felt gratitude that where I live it's fairly safe and secure. There are no wars here. But got me looking up resources that maybe help me get a feel for what it's like to experience war.
If you have been in similar situations and have been affected by war (e.g., losing loved ones, child of a vet, fleeing a war zone), what books came close to a realistic representation of war?
