i’ve been chasing the high of My Year of Rest and Relaxation and haven’t been able to find a book that scratches that itch.
i’m looking for “boring” books. books about someone’s day-to-day life, books that feel like a long walk around a big lake, books where the narrator just kind of prattles on about nothing, books that feel like that one scene in Eclipse where Bella is sitting in the chair and Possibility is playing and months are going by as she waits for Edward.
i do NOT want even a sliver of romance. yearning is okay, but the main theme of the book cannot be romance or lack of. please only fiction unless it’s truly life changing.
