Final Revival of Opal and Nev? I can’t remember if she an actress and a singer or just a singer
“Miss Del Rio” by Barbara Mujica. It’s about the Mexican actress Dolores Del Río who was considered the first major Latin American crossover star in Hollywood. Her American movies were mostly in the 20s and 30s. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolores_del_Río
“Tom Lake” by Ann Patchett is about a former actress telling her adult daughters the story of how she met a famous actor while doing a summer stock production of “Our Town.” The play “The Cherry Orchard” is also important in the subtext of the story.
Would you settle for a main character who designs costumes and is surrounded by actresses? If so, “City of Girls” by Elizabeth Gilbert is excellent. The world of the theater is essential to the story.
