I finished the Children of Time trilogy by Adrian Tchaikovsky a little while ago, and it’s been honestly hard to pick up anything else since because those books were just so extraordinarily brilliant that everything else seems kinda lackluster in comparison. I’m desperately looking for something that will make me feel like those books did, but I’ve read a lot of the common recs on here already — Red Rising, Project Hail Mary, Wayfarers, Hyperion, Foundations, Three Body Problem, etc. Anybody have some really under-the-radar gems to recommend?
edit: also if anyone has read Adrian Tchaikovsky’s other books, particularly his fantasy series like Elder Gods, please let me know what you thought of those — I typically don’t like fantasy except for LOTR, but I’d consider giving those a shot just because I like his writing style so much

The Secondhand Origin Stories / Names in Their Blood by Lee Brontide.
They’re an indie author but the world of superheroes (and their families) she creates is amazing.
