so i have been facing a reading slump for like 5-6 months now. like i remember finishing 300 pages books in like 1- 1.5 days but now it takes me weeks to finish a book. idk why? maybe its the books that i read?
i have tried reading 10 pages everyday, but its definitely not working. I usually read thrillers so maybe i am facing a slump because i tried different genres? but then as a reader i wanna try every genre, not just thriller/ murder mysteries. Why am i facing reading slump? is it because of the books i chose to read? Is there any other way to end it?

    1. Read James Lee Burke, Jonathan Kellerman, Michael Connelly, Robert. B Parker. That be a start. You won’t be able to put the book down. Robert B Parker, (Spencer for hire stories), are short and quick reading. Fun and funny /w a dash of poetry and mystery.

    2. Slumps are the worse. Sometimes just acknowledging it and taking a break for a few days works for me.
Another thing I try is re-reading a book I know I love, to try to sort of jumpstart fun reading again.

It’s also important to realize that over time our tastes often change, what used to work for us might not anymore, AND not every reader is going to love every genre. If you tried a genre and it’s not working for you, it’s ok to say, not for me, and try something else/return to what you know you like.
