My friend and I are wanting to buddy read some books, and I was wondering if y’all would have any suggestions I can add to my list for her and I to pick from!
My friend is really into friends to lovers, divorce romance (like maybe one of the characters is divorced and is now falling in love with someone new), forbidden romance (such as princess/knight), exploration of toxic relationships but not in a taboo romance way more in a lit fic way, religious motifs, etc etc. she grew up on a farm, loves playing soccer, works in environmental science and loves nature, and loves dogs. Some of the books I have picked out for us to potentially read have characters who play soccer, or one of the characters grew up on a farm, or one of the characters is super outdoorsy, etc. My friend very much prefers wlw (woman love woman) or nblw (nonbinary love woman) stories. She’s okay with any genre though!
I’ll pretty much read anything. I love stories that feature disabled characters as I am a full time wheelchair user, and I definitely have some favorite tropes but I’m catering the buddy reads more to my friend! My friend and I both have German shepherd’s so we always find it fun to read books that feature German shepherd’s since characterization of GSDs can be very different from how our dogs are.
