I’m wanting to read a book where a female character might say something like, “Sister, what use could this man be to us?” I’m thinking something like the Bene Gesserit in Dune. I am on a major fantasy kick right now but sci-fi would be good. I just want like a weird female group that makes choices based on intelligence and power. Something where a “hardened” woman starts to see outside of her “group.” There can be romance but I don’t particularly want it to be the main story. I also don’t want it to be creepy horror rapey vibes. Lol
Thank you!

The Power by Naomi Alderman. It’s excellent.
Edit: to say they are not in charge in the beginning but groups form later and it’s a whooole world changing thing.
Second this (The Power). And while not SciFi, Circe by Madeleine Miller may also fit what you’re looking for.
{{The Afterward by E.K. Johnston}}
There is SA but Gate to Women’s Country by Sheri S Teper. And the witches in Discworld maybe?
The Priory of the Orange Tree and A Day of Fallen Night both by Samantha Shannon, both fit your wants perfectly!
Strange answer I think still fits: Adrian Tchaikovsky, Children of Time.
Personal History by Katharine Graham
