Looking for a book rec containing a character that explores trust in some way. I gravitate towards more grounded, character driven stories, since I tend to learn more about life from them.
Lately, I’m finding that trusting other people and not assuming the worst are concepts that I want to spend some personal time understanding and re-evaluating. Any good stories for this?

I would recommend White Oleander! It’s not about trust per se, but it definitely explores different types of trust- ie. how you’re supposed to trust your mother just because they’re your mother, trusting yourself, etc.
