So I’m looking for coming of age novels that could also be enjoyed by an adult woman. I’m 31, for the record. In other words, I don’t want anything that’s too immature/young adult… But I want something that is going to give me that nostalgic feeling, and make me think about my own life. If that makes sense. Some examples of books that I have loved in the past are:

The Outsiders – By S.E. Hinton
Looking for Alaska – by John Green
The Fault in Our Stars-by John Greene
All the Ugly and Wonderful Things-by Bryn Greenwood
Eleanor and Park – by Rainbow Rowell
Flowers in the Attic-by VC Andrews
    The Lovely Bones-by Alice Sebold

There are many many more. But these are just a few. I’m a sucker for literary fiction as well. I thought my dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell was wonderful.
Also, I love books with dark themes, such as trauma, psychological issues, dark family secrets, twisted/complex relationships, and books that make you question your own morals. Like, you know what the protagonist/main characters are doing is wrong, but you can’t help but cheer them on, regardless.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
