Suggest me a horror that is more psychological than gore?
I gravitate to horror novels that is a bit of a mind bender and mystery. Think Shirley Jackson, Edgar Allen Poe and James Herbert. If you have any favourites of this type, I’d be grateful if you shared.

The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling
Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado
How about *The Terror* and *Drood*, two historical horror novels by Dan Simmons? Both have a bit of gore, but a lot of psychological elements too!
