A space opera/science fiction involving similar-to-present day adventures

For the last two years, I've been reading/audiobook-binging different sci-fi and fantasy books.

So far, I've read:

• Project Hail Mary
• The Martian
• The Red Rising series
• All of the Bobiverse books
• Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne
• Quantum Radio by AG Riddle
• Earthcore by Scott Sigler
• Carpathians by Paul Dixon
• Dawn by Yoshiki Tanaka
• Starter Villain by John Scalzi

In the past, I've also really enjoyed the Ancillary Justice series, Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Heinlein, all of Orson Scott Card's books, and the Foundation series by Asimov.

Suggest me a book a long these lines? I'm keen to see others' recommendations.
