hi everyone !! i’ve gotten really into classic lit the past few years and have read many great new books !! some of my favorite reads so far have been albert camus’ the stranger and myth of sisyphus, crime and punishment, notes from the underground by dostoevsky; anna karennina by tolstoy, and wuthering heights by emily brönte. while these are all amazing books, i’d really love to branch out to other lesser known classical literature; whether it be from a different region than europe or northern america or just one of your favorite underrated author :] thanks bunches

“The Count of Monte Cristo” by Dumas, “Les Liaisons dangereuses” by Laclos, “The Metamorphosis” by Kafka, “Chess Story” (or “The Royal Game”) by Stefan Zweig, “War and Peace” by Tolstoy. And if you’re heading towards horror: “Dracula,” “Frankenstein,” “The King in Yellow” by Chambers.
