I’m late to the Ethel Cain game, but I’m ten toes in now. I’ve been listening to Preacher’s Daughter back to back, non-stop for a few days and I’d like to wallow here for a bit. I’m unfamiliar with southern gothic, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be, but I love the gritty relentlessness of the tragedy unfolding in the album’s story, and I’m maybe looking for something similar with a tragic ending.
