Murder mysteries, whodunit mysteries, thrillers, serial killers are all welcome. I love true crime but I feel like I’ve listened and watched about almost every case I could find, and would love something fictional for a change. (If there is a non fiction true crime book that feels like fiction, that is also welcome). Thanks!

Non-fiction that seems like fiction:
* *Into the Wild*, Krakauer
* *In Cold Blood*, Capote
Fiction that could be non-fiction:
* *No Country for Old Men*, McCarthy
*Penance* by Eliza Clark
It’s a fiction novel but constructed as a true crime book, with a journalist narrating the facts of the case, investigation and trial, speaking to the people involved, families, friends, etc. It feels like any true crime, but it isn’t, though you sometimes find yourself wondering. It’s inspired by the tragic death of Shanda Sharer so if you’re familiar with her, you’ll find a lot of things in common.
