So! I'm looking for some good haunted house/ghost novels, I love a good gothic horror but am even interested in modern day ghost stories as well. I have read Haunting of Hill house, Hell House, The Elementals, Mexican Gothic, Horrorstor, and some others I can't think of right now. Wasn't a huge fan of Mexican Gothic. And while Horrorstor and Hell house were good reads some things were a bit too gorey for my taste. I really liked the elementals though. Even with some creepy visuals. TLDR looking for a ghost story that's spooky and not gorey. Also I'm currently reading Ghost story by Peter Straub and I know there are some TW events in here but I've been told it's a good one.
