Hi all! It’s spooky season, so give me your best, I-need-to-go-to-bed-but-I-really-need-to-know, pager turner of a whodunit! Doesn’t need to be crime per se but mysteries that you just could not stop reading is what I’m looking for. Bonus points if it makes you keep guessing and picking up clues so you can feel smart about yourself.

I’m good with all genres but mostly a paranormal reader, and I do love me an academia setting but again not a requirement!

    Thank you!

    1. Could always go for an old classic Agatha Christie. I’ve really enjoyed the ones I’ve listened to or read.

My girlfriend and I like to listen to them on road trips and see if we can figure out what’s happening bent we’re get to the end.

    2. I found the ending a little absurd but The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle kept me super engaged. It’s a time loop murder mystery that while not academia does have some of the dark academia vibes imo. Depending on your country, they might have dropped the 1/2 in the title, but it’s the same book.
