Me and my wife are talking about trying to have a kid. Wondering if there’s a good book for aspiring dads (what to plan for – financially and practically) as well as how to handle a newborn and support my wife through it all.

Just want to get as best prepared (as one can be…) for such a big life moment.

    Thanks in advance.

[Baby Owners’ Nurture Manual: From conception to two years (all models covered)](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36504619-baby-owners-nurture-manual) by Ian Banks

Haynes usually makes car-maintenance manuals, though it has branched out in recent years. The angle here, is that the book is written in the style of a car-maintenance manual.

I found it great. It gives all the practical details you need about tasks you’re going to undertake for the baby (feeding, diaper changing etc.) and aspects of the baby’s development. And it’s all no-nonsense and plain English.

I checked, the US Amazon store has copies.
