I read this and thought, "Darn, I should have saved this for the book club" as I am in a spooky/horror/scifi/true-crime centered group. It's now my turn to pick the book for the month and I want to suggest another of his novels, but the only one I have read is "The Only Good Indians". Can anyone guide me to another one of his novels, or another author's work, that has a similar vibe?

You can try western horror, blood in the frontier: when the dark comes by Johnathan miller
Short Story collection: Never Whistle at Night
Haven’t read a bad book by SGJ (although I will admit The Only Good Indians is probably his best from a literary POV). Ledfeather is also pretty great. My Heart Is a Chainsaw is a lot more fast paced and escapist, but a whole lotta fun.
