Hello fellow readers, I am a grad student planning a directed readings course this next semester focused on the Amazon. I am very interested in authors who are from there or currently live there. I am less interested in outside western and anthropological perspectives, and I am rather looking for poets, authors, and artists who live anywhere around Colombia, Peru, Brazil, or any other regions in the Amazon. I recognize this is broad, and that's what I am going for right now just to have a better idea of what to investigate and get into next semester. I can read in Spanish and Portuguese, but even if the texts are written in lesser known lanaguges I am still interested.
If there is another thread this would be better suited for I would greatly appreciate any insights as I am still new to Reddit.
