I need help choosing books

I’m still a young teen, but I’m not the smartest and am quite picky. I’ve tried reading tons of things but I find myself reading the lines over and over again or just not having a clue what’s going on. I read the silent patient and LOVED IT!! I love how easy it was to read (the authors style of writing and how it didn’t have complicated words or weird sentence structures.) Ive tried finding more of the authors books but they don’t seem interesting… what I’m looking for is a book with a good plot twist, something that’s an easy read, preferably more parts to it because I have trouble finding books but not something like maze runner or the lord of the rings (because I actually find them quite confusing too) and a horror, mystery or thriller or just something like that, but I need help because I loved reading the silent patient because i could read it for hours without getting tired of it, but I’ve never found myself reading a lot without getting bored wanting it to be over. So someone please help! Thanks.
