Okay, hear me out, because I know the title sounds kinda vague, but I didn’t know how else to explain it.
I read Thirteen Reasons Why as a teenager and my favorite part about it was the main character driving around town at night while listening to the tapes to basically discover/relive the girl’s life.
I also just found out about the book Home Is Where the Bodies Are and from reading the synopsis it sounds like part of the story is discovered through watching old videotapes.
These are the kind of books I’m looking for. Whether it’s through diary entries, audio tapes, video tapes or a mixture of multiple things, just something like that. The more interactive (like the driving around to the places mentioned on the tapes) the story the better. I’m fine with most genres except fantasy or very gory/extreme horror.
I’d appreciate any suggestions!
