Please help me find this book

I’m new to reddit and wasn’t sure if I’m posting this correctly so bare with me 😅
When I was younger I read a book at my library and I can’t recall the title. Basically its about a world where girls are chosen as brides when they’re a certain age, if theyre not chosen they’re brought to work at some place for the government. The guards there are not allowed to marry ever. Of course a girl and guard fall in love in secret but a man who’s a higher up is looking for a new wife and chooses her. This book was also like a twisted Christian fiction. The people in this world basically live by a Bible slightly changed and the one guy is evil killing anyone who doesn’t follow it perfectly in secret.

Anyone know what it is by any chance?😅
