I'm looking for hard sci-fi, dark setting, either dystopia future (thinking cyberpunk style) or humanity facing an impossible threat.
Bonus points if I end teh book feeling life is hopeless, we are all doomed to be dust in the wind in an universe destined to be annihilated by the ever present march of entropy (not what I want, but 1984 gave me the the same feeling)
PS, I'm not depressed, just a sucker for dark, dystopic settings
