Looking for a book that reads like a non-children’s version of Donald Sobol’s Two-Minute Mysteries, where the reader has to find the clue each chapter to solve a case

For the unfamiliar, this book introduced a new case or problem each chapter that the town’s detective had to puzzle through. By the end of each chapter, the reader was given enough information to “solve” each case. As you turned the page, the detective explained his reasoning, allowing you to verify your theory. Think like those Unsolved Case Files games, but as a book. I’m less focused on format and more interested in a book that has a story you try to solve as you read it.
