Hey guys I’m look for a book like lord of the flies for my classes. Maybe something more modern that deal with the same themes. Specifically geared towards young adults. I’m a teacher looking to switch things up 2nd semester for my classes. Any recs help, thanks !

I’d recommend all of these:
THE MAZE RUNNER by James Dashner (A boy with amnesia wakes up trapped in a maze.)
THE UNKNOWN by J.W. Lynne (Eight kids learn the shocking reason why they were kidnapped.)
SCYTHE by Neal Shusterman (Teens live in a world without death from natural causes.)
Wilder Girls by Rory Powers — YA Horror novel that’s a cross between The Lord of the Flies and Annihilation. About a girls’ boarding school on an island that becomes infected by an unknown disease and is quarantined. The illness kills most of them and warps the minds and bodies of the survivors. Well written, though the ending is a bit unsatisfying.
Maybe the Grace year by Kim Liggett, amazing book but it is pretty heavy as times.
The hunger games is one I read in school
The 100 by kass Morgan I think is a really similar idea to lord of the flies
