Some books – even great books – are heavy. Other books – even great books – are like sugar: enjoyable, but of little substance. Then there are books like “Remarkably Bright Creatures” and “Anxious People,” that are pure FUN to read and that also can be taken seriously as great works of writing. If I could zap my memory and read them again for the first time I would. In the meantime, I’ve been left chasing that high. Anyone got anything close?
