Good examples of what I'm searching for would be Arion from Red Rope of Fate by K. M. Shea or Shane from Paladin's Grace by T. Kingfisher. A cold and distant main character that slowly warms up to others like Benjamin from Royal Magic by K. M. Shea would be greatly appreciated too 😀
