Last year I read over 50 books. I'm not sure if I burnt myself out, but this year I haven't been able to finish more than 5. Being that it's the Halloween season I was wondering if anyone could suggest some books to get me reading again?
I like horror, but I like it to be fun. One reason I stopped reading so much is the further I delved into horror, I reached this weird (Brian Keene, Bentley Little) subgenre where everything was extremely graphic (pedophilia, torture, rape etc). I don't like that.
Some all time favorites of mine are: under the dome, summer of night, boys life, misery, Lord of the rings, the Hobbit, salems lot…
That being said, I'm open to all genres. I am a seasonal reader, meaning I can't read a book about winter in the middle of summer.
What books got you back into reading again?

Honestly, you just gave me a good idea. I’m in the middle of a really good book that I haven’t had the motivation to read lately, and your post made me want to just pull out my old Goosebumps books and read a couple today. I haven’t read a Goosebumps in like 17 years now I’m excited. I feel like that will start my reading back up.
