Suggest me a book with a character or characters that have a larger than life personality. It would also be nice if this wasn’t a science fiction or fantasy novel, a book that revolved around real world problems and characters handling this with a a strong deliberate attitude. Thank you in advance.

God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater by Kurt Vonnegut
Check out these three:
Helmet for my Pillow
Written by Bob Leckie
With the Old Breed
Written by Eugene Sledge
Islands of the Damned
Written by R.V. Burgin
Each man fought in the pacific, and each one gives a POV of an individual, with a very real personality. Personally, Helmet For My Pillow is my favorite. Bob Leckie is a talented author, and I cried when I finished it.
Blood Meridian, by Cormac McCarthy
Most would say that the character named the judge in that book is larger than life and while the story is inspired by a real life band of scalp hunters and outlaws in the mid 1800s and the judge is also based on a real person some could also say that And this book and argue an argument could be made that the judge is really a fantastical representation of that person but you’d have to think about that to come up with that conclusion, but it’s not when that could be denied. But it is a brutal retelling of the story of those Outlaws.
