Gerasimov V Ryan. In the book 'The Cardinal of the Kremlin' there is a scene between Jack Ryan and Nikolay Borissovich Gerasimov (head of KGB) that takes place in an empty rail car. It is a great part of the book. Ever since the first time I read it, over a decade ago, this is what I pictured in my head. I decided to finally put it on paper (or on the computer). While I am the artist of the piece I did produce this work from other references. For instance, I found a photo of the inside of a rail car and used it as reference. Same as for the characters.
