hello everyone
i am looking for, as someone probably far too picky, a deep, bittersweet, long romance novel.
i would prefer something without a fantasy element.
i just want a story about characters i can really completely sink into the world of. i am maybe looking for more romance adjacent (i don't want graphic scene every chapter)
my only absolute no is first person.
i'm sorry this isn't exactly well developed. i have been looking for something to read and have felt very turned off by the current "voice" of trending books.
my favorite author is joyce carol oates, and would love something similar to her prose.
i really enjoyed a little life, it terms of depth, world building, and emotions. i am not particularly looking for something as tragic, but at this point ill take anything
