Hey there! I just read “A Short History of Nearly Everything” and it was very enjoyable, and I liked learning all about the different natural sciences. It didn’t really cover too much world history though and I feel like no single book could even do it justice.
So what I’m asking here is quite a task. A chronologically ordered list of books that generally take you from the beginning of man to the present day. You can be as extensive or as broad as you like.
As an example of my problem picking, I initially started reading “A People’s History of the United States” but was like nah I want to go back to the beginning of the world and then come back to this. But then at the same time there’s other books that cover similar areas like “1491” and then there’s very specific American books like “1776” or “Team of Rivals” and I’m sure that other world history books share a similar problem (of deciding which to read when).
So whatever ideas you have, let me know!
