Help!! I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and nothing I pick up seems to stick! I could really use some recommendations to help me get back on track to my reading goal of reading 50 books this year ( I've only read 21 so far). I’m really missing that feeling of being totally immersed in a book and not wanting to put it down.
I’m open to pretty much anything, though I usually enjoy cozy mysteries, hist fiction, mythology, and YA fantasy.
What books have helped pull you out of a slump? I’d really appreciate any recs!

*How We Got to Now* by Stephen Johnson; it’s a fairly breezy read about how particular technologies made modern urban life possible.
*The Code Book* by Simon Singh; it’s a riveting book about the history of cryptography from ancient times onward.
The *A Series of Unfortunate Events* book series is quite good. Clever fiction writing.
*Hiroshima* by John Hersey; completed months after the end of WWII as a magazine article, the book tells the stories of a handful of the survivors, and today’s editions include updates on their lives years later.
*Fast Food Nation* by Eric Schlosser; an older book, but still an effectively-written introduction to the history of the fast food industry.
You can try graphic novels, they are quick to read comparatively and the pictures also might keep you intrigued throughout.
