Whether it’s a textbook or just a collection of anecdotes, I’m interested in a book that goes into detail regarding the history of cybersecurity.

I liked The Cuckoo’s Egg, but I’m interested in something that gets more detailed in the technical side of things, but also maybe covers multiple separate incidents.

    1. “Ghost in the Wires” by Kevin Mitnick

A hacker who was once most wanted by the FBI, wrote a book about himself.

    2. {{Kingpin: How One Hacker Took Over the Billion-Dollar Cybercrime Underground by Kevin Poulsen}} – The author uses the case of one hacker as a jumping-off point to talk about the history of cybercrime and identity theft.

Fun fact: the author was a hacker himself who has a book about him too.
